hi,
sometimes(in Autocad) when i measure the distance between to points, objects, etc. i come across some odd decimal quantities, for example 4.99888 instead of 5 as it should be,is it the permitted telorance of the softwear(can i adjust it?)? or is it a result of my mistake in drawing(how can i make it gone?)?

I appreciate in advance...

Two things....First, if you open up the DIM preferences, you will find that you can adjust the tolerances of your dimensions. Make sure to save the changes in a new profile name. Then highlight and make default.
Secondly, using keyboard inputs are more accurate than mouse drawing. For example, if you have a line and want another parallel line using the "offset" feature, select the offset button, select the old line, drag to the side that you want the new line and then keyboard enter the "offset distance". Same thing with drawing circles and ellipses. Using the circle tool, start the circle and then keyboard enter the diameter or radius, which ever you have selected to use. I use fractional measurements in my drafting, so I have my tolerances set to +/- 1/ 64 inch That way my measurements show to the nearest 1/ 32
