You can set up an separate incubator for the eggs. Get a plastic container with a lid that's at least a few inches deep and a piece of large mesh (like a bag that potatoes or onions comes in). Put an inch to an inch and a half of dechlorinated water in the bottom of the container, then spread the mesh over the top and secure with a rubber band or string. Poke a depression in the center so it's lower, but not touching the water. Carefully scrape the eggs off the filter (they should be above the water so it's shouldn't be too hard to do). Put the eggs mass in the center of the mesh, the put the top on. This keeps the eggs humid enough so they'll hatch. Keep this in a warm place and check every day or so starting in about 10 days. Once the babies begin to hatch, they'll crawl around and drop through the mesh into the water (why you need a fairly large mesh size) - you can pick out those which have hatched and put them into the tank. Don't allow the egg mass itself to get wet or get too dry or the eggs will die.

Your fish may need the filter back on to aerate their water, so don't leave the filter off for too long.

I've had Mystery Snails, but that never happened to me!

Here's a link to some very good information. Your exact scenario is addressed in detail, so apparently yes, you can move the clutch as long your very careful.

the snail laid them while the filter was on because the water conditions were right.unless there is a danger of the eggs going into the filter leave the filter on.

Ah, you just said he was not dead then ask if he was dead. Just stop bugging him. He's been there 2 hours! Let him make himself at home for a while. He's probably in shock. Wouldn't you be if you got pulled off your cozy driftwood, thrown in a bag for a while and dumped in a new tank?

its neat at first to see the breeding, until you become infested with them. i would get rid of them, i always hope that my fish will eat them. I give them away, and two other people i know thought it was cool at first too, until they had a billion snails and nothing to do with them, wanting to give them back to me.

I feed them to my turtles, and i had a beta that ate them once. also I used to keep goldfish and they ate their eggs.

Probably not the answer you were looking for, but its the truth.
