First of all it's a nasty addiction If your trying to quit. Isolate those things which tempt you pornography , sexy posters etc. Stay away from them. When tempted go running or excersize. Try playing a video game or maybe even writting a novel! Creative outlets are good for stress wether Horrmone related or not!

Well a woman might help.. but you are letting porn and masturbation become an obsession. Don't know how old you are so bit of a job to give a very definitive answer.. You probably need some of the bromide they were supposed to put in soldiers tea or coffee which stops them thinking about women or sex. Perhaps there is something your doctor could prescribe... Either that or it is down to your willpower.. A bit like stopping smoking... I don't think you will do any physical damage to yourself, possibly a mental one ....It is your computer that Will get all the bugs from the porn channels... If you are a young person, which I feel you may be, then when you get a girl friend a lot of your problems will resolve...

Dude, even if you got a girlfriend, wife or other solution, statistically most people still masturbate. The reason is that there is an addiction to porn. It does to most of us the same things drugs can do to drug addicts. It activates glands that make us want to have sex and then you are in trouble. You want to have the euphoric feeling and then end up masturbating or fantasizing.
There are treatments for this. Most of the treatments are centered around recognizing that everyone is a person. Even the pretty girls you are looking at are people and are the daughter of a real person, a person with feelings, problems and emotions.
True that some people like to take advantage, or even just have free love, but there are ways to stop masturbating. You must be willing to go through a process to replace one activity with another and make yourself productive and get satisfaction from something else.
It is okay to see a counselor about this. Many people do.
Good luck.

You haven't said what age group you are in so it makes the question a bit difficult to answer .
If you are still a teen , then most in this group will be masturbating at least once per day as they explore how their body works
As men grow older the frequency normally reduces or even ceases if you are in a relationship / marriage
However most guys still masturbate through life , even if the won' admit to it so is there a real reason why you want to stop > If it is affecting a relationship with a partner I can understand , but if not and you are still looking for a partner it will help release tension.

Ok.. you want a serious answere... you know your pushing it to get that... LOL
But I will try my best.. firstly, just take your hand of your penis.
Secondaly, it is obvious you are not practicing self restraint (no I'm not talking about bondage). You may have to try putting a timer on and restricy your time on the internet or watching porn movies to only certain times of the day/night for a set period of time. Or take up an interest that can distract you from masturbating, like an exercise program at a gym, playing team sports, go bowling, take a long walk, play games on your pc.. anything that you think will distract you from masturbating.
If none of this works, then honestly go see a Doctor... it's obvious that you may have an obsession and may need professional help.

The biggest problem you have is the computer viruses. In addition to having some kind of anti-virus software, you should also avoid clicking on any of the following kinds of porn windows: pop-ups, redirected websites ("Hey, that's not the website I was looking for!"), and sites that claim to offer illegal material such as child porn, incest, or bestiality.
"Giving yourself a hand" is only a problem if it actually interferes with your life or a relationship. If you want to be 100% celibate, then perhaps you are overly concerned. If, however, you just want to slow down, I can actually recommend a solution. And it might seem ironic, but the solution is actually overindulgence. Give yourself a week of free reign. Do it constantly. Go online and check out all the porn you can get. The amount and availability will overwhelm you. After a while, you will subconsciously realize, "Jeez, I could get this any time I want," so it will not seem so urgent at any given moment. You'll start thinking, "Ah whatever; I could do it tomorrow."

My friend, you have to understand that it is very important for you develop the will power to control your urge to masturbate. In the beginning you will find it a difficult but when at least 21 days are passed you will find that the urge is no longer empowering you. You can further strenghten your efforts by avoiding those books, pictures and programs on television or on the internet which according to you, play a role in arousing your sexual desires. Once you start controlling your urges you will find your thoughts towards opposite sex becoming healthier and cleaner. Your shyness exists because you know that you have this desire to masturbate in you and whenever you talk to girls you actually get sexually aroused. During the avoid fantasising about sex and instead divert you attention to body-building,sports and other meditation based exercises. When you do exactly as i tell you, this is my guarantee that when you marry, you will perfectly enjoy sex with your partner because your control on masturbation will lead to better sexual performance. Don't worry my friend. Inshallah everything will be allright. All the best.

You probably won't ever stop. But you can make it healthy, private, and safe. How ever you only gave a brief overview of your total situation. If I had to guess I would say that your situation is more than moderate and not quite extreme. I think you need to find a self help group or even professional help. Its good that you are talking about it, Left unchecked it turn into something you or society does not want to see. And they have plenty of places for people like that.
Take it serious get some help.

Hi James
There is nothing wrong with masturbating, do it as often as you like to releive your urges and using pornography as a stimulus is totally fine. Virus free porn sites are 'neichepass.com' and '89.com' and I can recomend 'ralph-woods.com' for gay porn.
In the very rare event that your masturbation is taking priority over all other functions in your life then you may need to see your doctor.
There is a drug called Benperidol used to drop your sex drive.
Masturbation can also be a symptom of anxiety - contact me if you need more help.

If you are a lad in your younger years you will most likly to masturbating ,even getting on the bus it will come up for no reason all part of growing up ,if that fail try and take a cold shower or try and keep busy so your hands do'nt wander down to your privates not like the old wives tale that you would go blind doing to much ,or wear tight underwear to keep in check and not boxers.

depending on how old you are, it's pretty normal to masturbate. Teenage boys admit to at least daily occurrences, the average adult probably 2-3x per week. It has nothing to do with actual sexual activity.
if it really bothers you though, maybe you can try out other pleasurable activities like sports or travel. I don't think anyone in a new exciting place would rather stay holed up in a hotel watching porn, right?
