hi there, my body's been acting quite strangely lately, nad my friends have been concerned... im not sure if its worth seeing a doctor yet.... ill list some of the things that i've noticed and some of the habits of my life so that maybe they might be connected:
Symptoms:
- headaches
- nausea (not severe)
- frequent urination (maybe 2x an hour, sometimes more, it's usally clear, or slightly yellow)
- i've been vomiting a little bit (like twice last night, but not for two weeks before that) ... but its not like a sick flu type, more like a spontaneous thing
- my tongue's been peeling as well as very dry
- constant thirst (probably from peeing so much)
- mood swings
- as well, i died my hair black (again) two week ago because the dye on the tips (not the roots) of my hair were fading back to brown, and already they're turning reddish - brown again (it cant be the dye, its a good brand
Habits:
- i smoke tabbacco
- i drink alcohol (on weekends, mostly)
- recent change of diet (3 months ago)

no ... no withdrawl from anything... i might have unintentionally cut back on smoking but that would only lead to the mood swings...

Have you been checked for diabetes? Or hypothyroidism, or any of a number of things. It could be a lot of things hon, so please, go see your doctor. Right now I would see if there is any pharmacy that you could check your blood sugar and see if it's normal or not. But please see your doctor soon!~

I don't believe anyone here can accurately diagnose you...
but I can give you some information:
A simple blood test will tell the doctor many different things:
he can see if there is liver damage or how the liver is
functioning. When you said you drink alcohol...
alcohol, when a persons body is sensitive to it and they
over drink, can cause the liver undo stress and even
damage...especially if they take over the counter pain
medication with it. If you notice any change in the
color of your urine to a darker yellow or brown, this
signifies that the liver isn't functioning well. Be aware
also that yellowing of the whites of the eyes and skin
occur in liver disease. Most people who have liver
disease don't show any signs of it until the liver cells
die and lose function...this is what makes it so dangerous.
If it is caught early on, medication can be given before
the cells of the liver are damaged and the liver can heal.
Once the cells start to die, there is no turning back then.
Anything that you place on the skin can become absorbed
into the body...you might have an reaction to that. Let
me explain...all medication is processed through the
liver first before going to the rest of the body. The
medication can be taken orally, intravenously, injected,
and even absorbed through the skin. Therefore, with
the alcohol consumption and using dye, it may have
caused a liver problem. Alcohol is also one of the
things listed to cause frequent urination with headaches and
nausea.
There are many people who drink alcohol that never
develop a problem with their liver, but there are many
who are now on the transplant list that wish they would
have gone to the doctor sooner...since the liver could
have been healed early on and they would not have
to face a transplant now.
Here are some of the reasons people develop liver
disease: Alcohol consumption, medications that have
a toxic effect on the liver, exposure to chemicals that
are toxic (example: carbon tetrachloride), hereditary
conditions, hepatitis caused by viral or bacteria,
blockage or malformation or twisting of the bile ducts
that come out of the liver, and others.
I am with most of the folks who posted an answer. You
need to be checked to find out more of what is going
on with you...the sooner the better. I'm glad you do
not have diabetes. If you are urinating alot: you
could become dehydrated and it would also cause
nausea, thirst, headaches, and vomiting would add
to the dehydration. Drinking alcohol at this time would
only add to this and drinking things to replace the fluid like
water, milk, etc it will not always replace what your body needs to function and that is your electrolyte balance...this usually has to be done intravenously.
Best wishes, I hope you receive care for this very soon.

The headaches, urination, dry mouth, and constant thirst are suggestive of Diabetes. But hey I'm no doctor, I know coz it runs in my family and I'm told I will eventually develop it so know what to look out for.
On the other hand everything you describe (apart from the hair) are classic withdrawal symptoms... Are you binge drinking?
I would be getting checked out coz if it is Diabetes you need medicine and like now!

See a doctor, the symptoms can be practically everything and describe several hundred diseases and ailments.. the tongue thing is odd. Peeling? Any milky stuff? If so, google thrush tongue.. However, this could be anything, no way to diagnose it. See a doctor fast. Well, being Friday, if it has been more than 48 hours without a decrease in symptoms, go to the E.D

freguent urination and cronic thirst are telltale signs of diabetes.also nausea and vomiting happen frequently when your blood sugar is high. do you have diabetes in your family? this tends to run in families. you didn't say what kind of diet you were on just that you have had a change . protien levels out bloodsugar levels and carbs cause spikes in bloodsugar levels. see a dr. and get some blood work.an hgbaic will tell you the average of your blood sugar levels over the past three months

It might be the dye soaked through your scalp and is poisioning you or something close to that, but you definatly need to see a doctor ASAP. Or the smoking and drinking is finally getting to you.
