when do you useally start to shop ?

Before internet - we would start in July and wind it up sometime in October.
Since internet - I shop on-line the week before Thanksgiving to allow plenty of time for shipping.

You might also want to check out the websites for the Savannah Candy Company in Georgia, or the famous Honeybell Oranges fruit company. (I don't remember those addresses offhand - but it's easy to google.)

Hi...actually I shop all year...that's when you get all the sale prices, etc. In my family now (except for my sis's twin boys) we just exchange names, tell each other what we want, and we do NOT spend more than $20 each. That way no one has to "compete" with each other about how much they spent on who and why. No hard feelings about getting less/more presents anymore. The kids get spoiled rotten though...but then it's Christmas, they know the MEANING of Christmas, and they get presents to boot! They always open EVERYONE'S presents, BTW....we don't care...it's always fun to see them go crazy!!!!

We are finished with the shopping. We start sometime in the summer and get items that we consider appropriate. Once every name has a gift safely stored in our attic, we are finished. That way there is no stress.

I try and shop all year round so then I can get them a lot of little stuff so it seems like you spent more but you barely spend anything at all.

Usually I begin in September, but I'm late this year. I'm planning on starting on it in a couple of weeks. I have what I want to get everyone on my list, but have to actually get to it.
