I have Norton Security Software free on BT Total Broadband & also installed Spyware Doctor v4.1. I'm getting really frustrated having to guard from malware, spyware, viruses, pop ups! Which programs are best? Some programs are better at protecting from than others, I would like the best protection from them all..

because spyware is not an actual virus .. but many antispywares label them as malicious ... if u had an actual virus u would have major hardware or booting problems ..

If you actually looked up the rating for norton you would see thats it all not that great, the reason it did not detect it is becuase either it has no tbeen updated or the other program just has a larger range of data. It could be possibly reading a program file.

You will never find a 100% safe guard it doesnt exist. All programs detect different threats. No computer in the world is 100% safe we just put in place the safe guards we feel is adequete and hope for the best im afraid. You can go to http://www.filehippo.com these have a full range of the latest security features nearly all are free, decide for your self what your comfortable with :)
