The former prime minister recognizes that her country is being hijacked by fanatics and has had the guts to say so, and they tried to kill her for it. The very large procession heralding her return just illustrates that many Pakistanis realize the same thing, and it is going to be up to them to rid their country of these murderous radicals, weather it be in the tribal regions or from elements of their own military, which more than likely had a hand in yesterdays assassination attempt, they need to be denied freedom of movement and a base of operations as quickly as possible, unfortunately a lot of people might have to die to accomplish that. There can't be a region in any country where these people can be allowed free reign, tribal or otherwise.

Consider this - perhaps we were signing our death warrants AND the events of 9/11 by NOT responding sooner to the previous terror attacks against Americans all over the globe.
It's really pretty simple - we can confront the Islamic militants, or we can accept their terms and demands.
