He was one of the first of the great Child Stars (and had the usual problems adjusting to adult life of child stars, even though his genius remained).
The movie AMADEUS is almost completely fiction (and was never meant to be taken as fact). Mozart and Salieri actually got along very well, the real Salieri was a very jovial man with a huge family of daughters and may even have tried to match Mozart up with one, and there's no evidence or reason to believe Salieri had anything to do with Mozart's death.
Mozart's grave is unmarked and lost to history. This leads to the report that he died in poverty, which isn't really true. His income was actually very high for his time and place (though a gambling problem and an extravagant lifestyle left him constantly in debt), but at the time burial was discouraged in Vienna because the cemeteries were almost full and those that weren't were ridiculously expensive (the equivalent of hundreds of thousands of dollars in today's money- you could buy a house as cheaply as a grave), OR you could be buried by the state outside of the city free of charge. His family opted for the latter, but before they could buy a marker for his grave (even poor families mark graves, after all) the record of exactly where he was buried was lost.
