I'm not quite sure but I have had the same problem. I have a wireless Linksys connected to my desktop and I have wireless laptops and I started getting that message. Well I called my Cox cable, whom I have my internet with and there was nothing wrong with my connection as far as directly connecting my desktop to the cable without using the linksys. So I called Linksys and they had to get into my computer and upgrade my Linksys and once they did that I never had anymore problems. Good luck!! :)

First off make sure that your modem is receiving a signal, sending, and that it is on line. If those are all working then go into your control panel and go into network connection, you should be able to right click and select repair, that might be able to solve your problem. Also make sure that your ethernet cable is securly plugged into both your pc and modem.

I can't believe it,i had the same problem 2day as well, which panicked me,but i checked my router and some of the lights weren't on so i turned it off and on again, and thing's seemed to load up properly.

I'm told by BT they are having some technical problems when i rang them last night so it's not just you or me,it's nearly everyone!-really annoying though!!
