there are ppl claim religious belief and wanting to send their kids to school with out being immunized. and in some towns run buy liberals an democrates and some of the moderate republicans but more the first too they are allowing these children to enter public school.

do you feel this is more a public heath issue then religion?

do you feel liberals are going to far to please every one at the expense of our childrens health?

do you think ppl use the "religious belief" as a sort of victim card so they get their way ?

I think that it is a health issue.Unless someone has a valid medical reason for not being immunized, then the student should be immunized.There is a return of diseases that were once eradicated in the West.They are resurfacing in stronger forms.Someone else's religious beliefs does not protect a child,it is the diligent use of immunization. Diseases such as small pox, tuberculosis etc, are resurfacing.We should be asking ourselves why? Shouldn't the medical health and well being of everyone be paramount.Most medicines and immunizations can prevent or limit outbreaks.

No one should be able to use their religious beliefs to put society at risk for epidemics. Public health is more important that your right to adhere to some superstitious belief that the gods will be angry if you get immunized.
