Just a word of clarification about this question, for those who haven't been following. Harry Reid wrote a letter to Rush Limbaugh's syndication partner, Clear Channel, attempting to have Limbaugh, a private citizen, reprimanded for calling some military people "phoney soldiers". The letter was signed by Reid and 40 other democrats, including Hillary, Ubama, Edwards, Dodd, etc. The syndication partner gave the letter to Limbaugh, who put the original up for auction on eBay one week ago. The winner of the auction paid $2,100,100.00 for it. Limbaugh matched the winning bid with $2,100,100.00 out of his own pocket and the total was donated to the Marine Corps/Law Enforcement Foundation, which provides scholarships to the children of Marines and federal law enforcement officials who have died in the line of duty. The auction was the highest dollar amount for a charity auction in the history of eBay. Now, who, in their right mind, could deny that Limbaugh is a good guy? Limbaugh also challenged Reid and the other 40 signators to also match the winning bid and donate it to the same charity to "prove their patriotism". So far, no takers from the left.
