absolutelly sickens me as well. why turn common crimminals into celebrities? would have been the same thing, but not actually worse, beacuse the noose hangers did not gang beat an innocent person down. would have been the same if the noose hangers were invited to wet tv (if there was a channel, but that would be racist) and have the noose hangers present music awards to a famous white singer. and when the noose hangers came on stage, the whole place would give them a sranding ovation. that would have been just as sickning! and i promise you that racist sharpton and jackson, would have been there, stiring up stuff, and there would have been riots! if they put the noose hangers on a pedistal like they did the 2 common thug convicted crimminals, and turned tem into stars. it absolutelly sickens me! before you give me a tumbs down, MAN or WOMAN UP! and explain why. ebonics is accepted, but english would be perfered!

I saw a couple of pictures of them at the BET awards and it was disgusting the way they mugged for the camera and threw up the Jena 6 gang sign. I read one article that said when they were introduced they thanked their "fans", family, friends and etc...
It appears that they think the thousands of people that marched and gave them money are their "fans".
The world has now seen them for the criminal thugs they are and will hear about crimes they commit again in the future.
The worse part is that they were rewarded for committing a crime and they made completed idiots out of the people that marched for them.
Imagine how stupid those people feel now after they saw Jones and Purvis on the stage profiling and muggin for the camera with thug clothes, smirks and proudly displaying the Jena 6 gang sign.

It's pitiful when criminals become celebrities. What messages are we sending to our children. It's okay for six to gang up and beat one because he's white. It's a sad day in America. We should boycott BET and it's sponsors. Good luck. 2D

That's just wrong... Regardless of whether or not they were wrongly incarcerated, by giving them the honor or presenting an award that is blatantly condoning the beating that gave that other kid.

Totally disgusting.
These perps are NOT the poster children for civil rights. If someone is looking for poster children, they should be looking at people who aren't criminals.

For crying out loud.

they're famous. why not. isn't that the criteria. who's famous and will get viewers to tune in so commercials can be sold?
it's an economic decision. no matter how you get famous.
