I took a few seeds and planted them from an apple tree that is not a hybrid or some strange conventionally farmed tree. It is completely normal. How can I care for it and if it does sprout will it be the same type of apple?

There is no way to predict what type of apples your seedlings will produce. Apples do not breed true to their parents. You have no way to tell what variety of apple pollinated the old tree. You would care for the trees the same way as any other apple tree. When they get mature enough to bear fruit you will need to decide if they are worth keeping. I would pull them up now and buy trees from a nursery. That way you will know exactly what variety you are getting. Why spend several years waiting for your seedlings to bear fruit that you may not not like?

It should be the same type of apple. Care for it like any new plant. See that it has ample water but don't overdo it, remove any weeds that might compete for nutrition and water, and plant another apple seed about 20 ft away (perhaps a different variety). All fruit trees need to pollinate. During the second year when feeder roots have developed give them some fertilizer.

Highly unlikely that it will be the same type of apple. Apples are not self fruitful and must be pollinated by another variety. All eating apples are a specific variety no matter how old or normal looking and whether grafted or not.

Your tree will have apples but they may or may not be good eating.

This particular is an extremely complicated way of possessing an apple tree and could be of no longer possessing one in any respect. that's extra prudent to purchase a splash grown tree from a nursery and plant it. in case you nevertheless insist on becoming one from a seed you are able to shop attempting it at the same time as this tree is becoming. in case you're fortunate you will finally end up with some extra apple tree once you're particular you very own one already.

Most fruit trees are graft trees. The root stock is different from the bearing part. This provides certain advantages in season, location and soil conditions. Your seeds may not do as well as the existing tree if they grow at all.
