I am aditioning for my school play and trying out for a dancer. I'm athletic and pretty flexible but have never really taken a dance class before...So, do you have any ideas about how to train and or get prepared for my audtion. I'm dancing to "almost lover" and it's kind of an iterpretive piece. I do a lot of leaps and twurls...then i fall to the ground and spring back up. It's kind of got a dramatic/comedic vibe. ANy suggestions to what to what it needs? PLease respond...every opinion matters!!!

go to a studio and take a beginners leaps and turns class..it shouldnt cost that much...even just one class would give you some background for your dancing and would probably improve it tremendously. also, just channel the emotion in the dance...that will also help.

focus attention inside your body..that's where the real emotion/expression comes from.
