When a secret becomes too heavy on you, there are two ways of lightening the burden.
1. tell a close friend
2. write it down and stow it somewhere where no one will ever find it.

I give it back to the one who gave it to me. As simple as that.
I will never involve a third party.
This might sound too simple, but how I handle it depends on whose secret it is.
When someone who is just an acquaintance passes a secret over to me, chances are great that it will end up back where it came from.
When a great friend confides in me, I stand up and loyally help her carry it, much easier when there are two to carry a 'secret'. They help me carry mine too. We usually rip them apart until nothing is left of it. And God helps us too, He has a way to dissolve 'secrets'!

If it becomes too heavy to hold, I'd find a way to keep it, because I was entrusted with it, with me it will stay!!

I once was a news reporter....and secrets remain such when talking with sources. And that is one lesson that can be applied to living every day.

Tell it to a stranger. Especially if its not about you. The stranger don't even know you or the person your talking about, so there is no need to mention names. If it's about you sowhat, you'll never see them again. Or you can just keep it to yourself, eventually you'll be relieved of the need to blabb

Email it to PostSecret. Then they can either put it on the website or publish it in a book. and if not, there's still one person out there who's gonna hear your secret.

write it down and burn it... either that or tell my most trusted friends. and if i throw off my back, it might slip into the wrong hands, ive got to be careful
