80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

The Bible actually answers this questions. In Genesis 1:28 we see God telling Adam and Eve to become fruitful and fill the earth and subdue it. So God meant for us to live on a paradise earth as perfect humans. This was until Adam and Eve disobeyed him, and because they sinned we all suffer. You might wonder why would God let this all happen? If you have more questions about this I encourage you to look up the nearest Kindgom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and ask someone there. They will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

Without God, there can be no meaning.
We can't invent meaning because we can't invent the purpose for which we exist. Either that purpose doesn't exist or, of if God does exist, then we already have a purpose. Either case, we can't invent our own.
On our own all we can do is to invent activities that will keep us busy so we won't think about a meaningless existence.
But if we accept that God might exist, we can have real purpose and real meaning.
I certainly disagree with All-in Willie (above me). We don't need to go to church to know that purpose and meaning require God. For example, here is what the atheist philosopher Russell had to say:
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell

I believe that there is really no point in writing some advice on here which u may read or not.. anyways reading a bunch of suggestions is absolutely pointless if u r depressed and dnt take a step towards resolving ur problems.. if u r reading, no matter what anyone tells u it is ultimately u who decide if u were wrong or right.. temper ur mind to believe that what u believe is right.. only then will u gain some of ur self esteem back.. just remember that u r never a loser until u urself believe that u r. i know u have decided tat u r a loser but change tat outlook if u want to change ur life. any number of suggestions wont help u if u lost ur belief in urself...

To learn to love God completely, colleague as Self, and as Messiah loves, and to ascend like Enoch, Elijah, Christ Jesus and many other Saints robed in white.
"The Path of Virtue," Jonathan Murro,
"Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet,
and "Man, Master of his Destiny," Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov,
are good modern books regarding Life.
