If I want to solve for "h", I must get it by itself. That means I cannot have anything else with it. So, first I must move (b1 + b2) to the other side of the equation. To move something, you have to do the opposite operation. Adding becomes subtracting, multiplying becomes dividing, and vice versa.

The (b1 + b2) is multiplying the "h", so the opposite must be dividing. So, divide both sides by (b1 + b2)

A / (b1 + b2) = h
