I would submit that the complete opposite is most correct in that, if you stick your head in the sand it is you who fear the threat.

I am just shocked at some of these answers. I guess I was a Boy Scout kinda girl 'cause, with Ernest T, I believe preparation removes the fear. I cannot believe that to take a threat seriously is equivocal to fear.

If you are not intelligent enough to prepare for a possibility like the threat, than let the fear of that threat give you the impetus to prepare! Either way, do it before the threat is reality and all that's left is retaliation.

Taking a threat seriously is in response to witnessing the threat actually happening somewhere else and accepting the fact that if the threat was made to you ; then the same thing is in the works for you ! I don't ignore threats yet I don't fear the threats. Everytime you post something about radical islam it is due to your fear of radical islam. Nothing wrong with it.
