Not really. I agree with you. There are a couple of interpretations of General Relativity that might imply time travel, but they also imply that the amount of energy required to 'move' thru the time dimension would be many orders of magnitude greater than that which is released by an exploding supernova.
Probably not a good bet, engineering wise, for the foreseeable future.

I believe time travel is possible. Whether the humanity is smart enough to discover it is another issue.
Obviously, tourism travel is not allowed. Some idiot may try and change the past, producing paradox, an imbalance. I hope that by the time the technology advances so as to make time travel possible, we would be wise enough to use it properly. The alternatives are either a limit on the technology the humanity will achieve, or extinction (where time travel does not happen because there is nobody alive to do it)

It's admittedly unlikely. But if people from the future were here already how would we know? Despite sci-fi's portrayals, it seems unlikely that they would bother coming back without researching, and most likely wouldn't be stupid enough to do it with a handy lazer pistol and space ship. Presuming they had even half a brain they would be aware that poking around in the past isn't really a good idea, and that blending in might just be a plan if they couldn't avoid it.
Physics says no, but you can't prove there aren't people from the future here.
Ah well, as much as I like the dream I think I'll stick with physics.

Hi!
Many things have to be believed to be seen. Those who do not believe often scorn the possibilities others take for granted.
Good wishes.

My guess is that there are an infinite number of time dimensions that allow for a unique moment that can't be accessed again.

What's impossible for man, is possible for God. God lives outside of time, we are confined by it.

If time travel isn't possible, how did ancient civilizations have futuristic technology that we do not yet CURRENTLY have? HMMMMM?????
