Stop moving, shed distractions, close my eyes, sit in a dark place with a stiff something of an appropriate libation and wait for something to start tugging at me hard enough to make me want to stand up again.

Well, shoot! I gotta address this question, and on a Friday nite? At the time when I am most likely to lose my sense of direction? Well, I don't hold you responsible for askin' a sincere question.
Ok, I thought about it (that was too quick, so I musta left out something very critical in my thinking...oh well.) and came up with this:
When does a person actually know WHEN he/she has lost their sense of direction in Life?
I mean, is there a moment in your Life when you realise that you have crossed a bridge from a time when you always wanted to be somebody, to a point in time when you realise you aren't that somebody?
Now, you're making me REALLY think...........
Ya know what? I think I've already picked every direction I was capable of. So, I simply remained heading in the direction that I happened to finally choose. AND -- I still manage to meet interesting people along the way.
BTW, in case you were curious, HERE is my current heading........

When I'm at a crossroads and don't know the what to do, I'm left with two choices: either stop and wait for a sign or until something yeilds, or I just say "fork it" and follow the signs to the town with the most appealing name. Once I arrive there I just make the most of it and I always end up farther down the road of life. I'm not one to flip a bi†ch and backtrack. I'd rather plunge head first into the unknown then repeat history.

If you live your life in the moment, enjoying one day, sometimes one second at a time it makes it easier to find your sense of direction if lost. Just get through this minute, the next will take care of itself. Find something to be grateful for, to love about your life, to do that will make you feel pride about getting it done. Just live and love and do and enjoy.

Stop!! Reflect!! Find core values first - then think how to promote/live within them.

Always remember that we all go through waves in life - there is as much skill in riding the trough as the crest!! Positivity is a key trough strategy.

Remember you have friends who care about you and let them support you.

Mind you though the JD idea is good too!!!

I think about what I really want, and what is important...then figure out direction I need to go to get there. I get lost sometimes anyway...Joe is right the JD is a good idea. ♥

Stop worrying about the things that you can't handle, fix or help. Let it go! Then, be the beautiful person you were meant to be and take care of yourself first. Angel on your side, from the Family!

That's when I'm definitely leaning on my faith, my family and my friends until the way becomes clear again, you don't want to go alone during that time in case you stumble!!

When i'm lost I look at a map or routefinder, same principle, pullover for a while and ask someone whose opinion you respect for your strenghts and weaknesses and discuss what you should consider doing.:)
