You have two of the greatest teams from a historical perspective. Sure you have some down years like this year but more years than any other rivalry the champs of the entire country can be determined by this game?

Do the USC and Notre Dame fans respect the traditions of each other?

Stonewall I don't know what you are trying to sell but it is laughable. Yeah sure USC only has five titles. Look at the link I provided you based on actual facts not some lame revisionist history. Just because you don't like a program you can't deny facts it only makes you look bad.

Yes we trojans sure do. nobody values traditions and school pride like usc does so when another school such as notre dame does as well, we just look forward to a good game.

of course after the catastrophe that was usc vs. stanford, all we are doing is trying to WIN. which shouldnt be too dificult tomorrow given ND's record. lets hope.

FIGHT ON!

simple answer. NO. the best rivalries in college football are Texas vs Oklahoma and Ohio State vs Michigan. hands down. Notre Dame vs USC is over rated and nobody gives a crap about that game anyways

I'm sure they do based on a historical standpoint, but to say it's the most important rivalry in college football is incorrect. That honor goes to the two schools i hate more than any other in the nation and that the University of Michigan and Ohio State.

I don't think so scooter! Oklahoma and Nebraska settled more titles in 20 years than USC/ND has in 100. Are you the one who keeps claiming like 11 titles for USC when they only really have 5? Just because some LA sports outlet votes USC a title doesn't make it so. At least N.D. has real fans, not fair weather fans like LA. They were giving away USC tickets in boxes of cereal 5-6 years ago before they started cheating.

Sorry, but where I come from it's not the most important rivalry in college football. That would be USC (U. of South Carolina) against Clemson U.

Neither one of these teams is that good. Both are playing on reputation. If Reggie Bush and Lou Holtz show up for the game it might be worth watching.

Us USC fans look down on Notre Dame as a program in a shambles and only a shell of it's former self

USC fans will chalk them up as insignificant peasants like they do everybody else...but when ND pulls out a win they will silence.
