There isn't much we can do about sexism and racism in other countries. We can't dictate how other countries should operate. Good luck. 2D

Racism is bad...and yes sexism is just as horrible and wrong. It's not discussed because many major groups-- even people like the Catholic church-- still maintain that women are lower than men. The US military doesn't alllow women on the front lines for fear that we're weaker, under that guise that they're afraid we'd get captured and raped. In other countries, if a woman talks to a man that's not her family she'll get killed. It's crap and a lot of people seem afraid to address that equality for all does include women as well.

you are correct
but honestly, sexism is here too
there is this whole "take back the country from the feminists" movement going on
what is strange is that most women do not adhere to feminism
if you have ever happened to travel to countries where there is tremendous sex tourism (Thailand, Brazil, Cambodia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Germany, Ukraine, etc) you would meet hordes of American men who think American women are the lowest form of human
American women have rights on paper, but how we are treated is another story
many professions are still havens of old fashioned sexism and American women have issues to deal with...for example:
being able to get married
the view of us as opportunistic
women's health studies are low
the healtcare industry and Congress do not support women's health things like abortion or family planning or such (i.e. Viagra being carried on insurance and the pill not)
the increase of women in violent crime
the way that women's prisons are not cared for in the way men's are
the country supposedly supports family values, but no universal paid family leave and women get fired and it can be too short
i could go on and on
sexism isn't just abroad....

probably 'cause you don't live in those other countries... and because it's impossible not to be linked by family to someone of the same sex so it makes it less of an issue than racism, because most everyone has someone of the opposite sex that they know very well and are close to... not everyone has friends/family of other races. though i'm not saying that we shouldn't discuss it more /pay more attention to the subject.

ignorance is taught from the womb.
