most youths that are african and living abroad dont seem to be in touch with thier roots? some don't even know where they are from and some just have basic knowledge of their ancsetry.the language is something else..as some people dont know what language they speak, is there any chance that such a culture will continue? is there anything to pass on to the forthcoming kids? discuss

I don't think they're losing their African heritage. There is a black history month, so I doubt it's being lost. But I must note. My Cajun heritage is being lost and my Cajun language is being lost. Good luck. 2D

The best place in the world for an African is Africa. They do not belong, nor fit in with other cultures.

UMMM not racist but they're AMERICANS and just happen to be black. I know I know, the whole slavery thing and I believe it to be wrong however if you really WANT to be in touch with your "roots" then why not go back? I mean My grandfather is a full blooded Irish man but I'm not walking around trying to find Leprechaun's gold or speaking Gaelic or wearing Celtic runes.
