I can't think of any good reason why not. If the terrain was 'smooth' enough for them to roll over they'd work..They'd probably have to have some of the control loop response time constants adjusted to account for different rates of gravitational acceleration on other planets, but that shouldn't be any big problem.

Why not? I'm not sure what Segways are made of, it theres plastic it might need to be replaced with something a bit more durable since lunar temperatures are rather extreme. And I'm not sure how they perform on the loose dusty soil of the moon, but hell, the next time we go lets take one along.
