There's no such thing as anti-gravity; however, there are repulsive forces: for example, two positively charged particles or two negatively charged particles mutually repel each other, as do two magnetic north poles or two magnetic south poles. Of course, that's an entirely different force at work...

not on earth. but in space some sort of anti-gravity type of force has been thought up several times, even with Einstein. but he basically thought that his equations were flawed and considered it one of the biggest mistakes of his life.

in space there is evidence of a anti gravity type of force called dark energy. galaxies are all moving apart (which im sure you know) but recently scientists found that they are not only moving apart, but they are accelerating instead of slowing down like the laws of motion predict. the only thing we have to explain this right now is dark energy. along with the theoretical dark matter, dark energy cant be detected except for its acelerating effect on galaxies.

Antigravity is a useful science fiction invention that allows more interesting or plausible plots. Like warp drive, shields, and inertial dampers, its the sort of technology that would be required to build interstellar vessels. Science fiction authors like to have their stories sound possible. Stories using real technology couldn't have aliens or distant planets under alien suns. .Or FTL space ships. But it is nothing but a plot device. It doesn't exist and there is nothing to suggest it could.

So far as we have ever been able to find, there is no such thing as 'anti-gravity' except in Sci-Fi stories.

If there was an antigravity source on Earth, it would have floated away. Haven't you ever seen a helium balloon?
