Why didn´t anybody ask; "What was the reason for the Dalai Lama receiving the congressional medal ?"
I thought this guy believed in reincarnation and that : anybody born with physical or mental dissabillities, had done something terrible in a previous life and therefore is not deserving of sympathy or charity.
but I guess that is how Americans think anyway.....

Roguehes - I think you will find that he says more along the lines of that they're not to be patronised because of their disabilities. Sympathy doesn't actually do any of us any good, just makes us wallow. Sympathy is extremely disempowering.
