While I think he has the talent to be a hall of famer he has been limited by a terrible team for most of his career. He is the best player on a terrible team. Perhaps the added attention that the team will receive with Garnett and Ray Allen on the floor will bring to light Paul Pierce's abilities and allow him to receive the attention he deserves. It's tough to be a top scorer in this league and even tougher when you are the only option on the floor.
Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, John Stockton...All Hall of fame players with no championship hardware. If he continues to be an all-star and a leader in the league Paul Pierce will get his due recognition.

I don't believe so Paul pierce does put up good numbers every game but look at his team it's pretty easy to put up numbers on a losing team with no star. The difference between him and the hall of famers was that they know how to win pierce hasn't tasted an nba ring , yet alone make it past the 2nd round of the playoff's. If paul pierce's career ended today nobody would remember him in 20 years.

I am a die-hard "Ceatles" fan..... And Paul Pierce is also my favorite player.
but to be honest, if he ended his career today, I don't think he would be in the hall of fame...
He's an excellent player, but he needs to play for a few more years, and pile up the numbers before we start talking about the HOF. If he can have 3-5 more GREAT seasons, he might get in even without the ring (but I believe they will win before that).

If his career ended today I would have to say no. N not in an evil way. But Paul Pierce is a good nominee for HOFF years on from now.
His break out season in my opinion was the 2001-2002 season when he averaged 26.1PPG shooting over .400% from both areas. and helped the team deep into the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
His career avg stands 23.6PPG 3.9APG 6.5RPG 652 games 15,375PTS 1,0963PTM 4,239REB
Unless he can make the Finals at least 2 x and keep hitting big shots, he's going to be a HOF.
I think overall he's a great player but his lack of teamates and injuries.

IF PAUL'S CAREER END TODAY, HE WOULD NOT BE A HALL OF FAMER!!!
IM A TRUE CELTICS FAN!!!
LET ME TELL YOU WHY!!!
I THINK PAUL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A HALL OF FAME PLAYER NOW THAT HE IS PLAYING WITH TWO TRUE HALL OF FAME PLAYERS IN RAY ALLEN AND K.G.
RAY IS GOING TO BREAK 20,000 POINTS THIS YEAR AND HAS BEEN A CLASS ACT PLAYER SINCE HIS DAYS A UCONN "GO HUSKIES". K.G. IS A FREAK, HE'S BEEN A LOCK FOR THE HALL FIVE YEARS AGO. PIERCE ON THE OTHER HAND HAS A LEGACY. BUT HE DOES NOT HAVE THE CLASS OF A RAY ALLEN OR K.G.
HE HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR THE HALL, BUT IT WILL TAKE PAUL TO WIN AN MVP AWARD AND A NBA CHAMPIONSHIP TO GET PAUL TO THE HALL.
GO CELTICS!!!!

Even though I'm not a Celtics fan, to be honest, I'm a Lakers fan, but I still think he should be a hall of famer, with or without a championship.
Paul Pierce is a great player, he is an all-star, and a great scorer.
Somehow he has been forgotten because of the injury and the bad records for Celtics.
and he has been underrated for years,
but he won't be forgotten for long, mark my words, now with Allen and KG palying along side him, he will be great again this year

I like Paul Pierce. Truth is, there would be other people that would be nominated when his time comes who might have more credentials/stats/ring and all more than him. A ring may not be the ticket but it sure makes things much more interesting.

ehhh, right THIS minute, no... if he has the same production for another 5-6 years, gets his career pts to about 20,000-25,000 pts and ends up with about 10+ all-star games, then yes, he has to get in....
but he needs some bling, either championship/MVP trophies, right now steve nash with less stats gets in cuz he's a two-time MVP...

he might make it if he steps his level of play up the next 4 to 6 years he needs to be plain nasty and then yeah he would be but at this pace he would make it only in a year were ther are weaker players and coaches would go in like this year only phil jackson and some other dude went in
