Don't try to tell me to watch the movies cuz I've already seen them all.

Well, I am going to combine the movies and the books to give you an answer.
Go from there.

In the movies, in the first movie, Project Treadstone is attmepting to kill him because they think he has gone rogue.
By going rogue, an agent may flip to the enemy and give up their secrets.
This is more pertinent in the books because the books take place in the early to mid 70's and 80's right in the middle of the Cold War with Russia.

In the second movie, a Russin businessman who made a deal with a person in charge of the now-defunct Treadstone was trying to kill Bourne to keep his mouth shut because of a lot of money that was made from this deal, and they thought that Bourne somehow knew.
That was why they framed Bourne for the Berlin incident and set Pamela Landy and her cronies on Bourne's trail.
So, the operatives from the CIA and the Russian Intelligence were trying to kill Bourne, although for two different reasons.

In the final movie, again Bourne is framed for a murder and also for information about project Treadstone coming to light and being publicized in a newspaper. So, the current assistant director of the CIA sets out to kill Bourne once and for all, and just to try to put an end to everyone alsways being tense that he is out there, somewhere, but no one knows what he is up to.

The two books, Supremacy and Ultimatum are completely different from the movies, but you must take into consideration that they were written almost 30 years ago, during different political climates in the world.
I strongly suggest you read them, because both of them deal with Bourne being framed for crimes he didnt commit, but they are drastically different.

Without spoiling the whole thing for you: Jason knows things that, if they were to become public knowledge, would get some very powerful people into a boatload of trouble. The powerful folks aren't willing to take the chance, so that's why they're trying to kill him.

In the beginning, it was because they thought he went crazy and wanted to keep things "under wraps", but by the 3rd installment (Ultimatum), it was also because he knew a great many secrets about the agency he worked for and they were afraid he would let them get out into the public (which he did).

: )

Yeah, it's for a really good reason...you should watch the first one, and the second, and the third, haha. Seriously, I don't watch action movies, and I LOVE this series.

Read the books. They are better than the movies and explain every little detail the movies miss.

Political reasons. They are hiding the group of assassins that created him. It was highly illegal and used torture to create killers. Watch Ultimatum and see for yourself. Awesome flick.

"Sir, he drove off the roof!"
"What do you mean he drove off the roof!"
"I'm telling you he drove straight off the roof!"

Great scene.

well, smarty, if you've seen them all, you should know the answer to your own question.

they want to kill him because he is no longer useful to them, he failed his mission in the first movie. with the gov., you fail, you die...cuz you know too much.
