My brother in law wants to sell BBQ and other foods, from the back of his truck, in the best buy parkinglot, on black friday, in st. louis. I wasn't sure if it was legal or not. Does anyone know if it is legal or will he have to buy a permit?

If he does the following:
Obtain a food handlers permit
Get a health certificate for his truck
Get a business license to operate his business
Ger permission (I would go with in writing) from Best Buy to conduct a business on their property.

Go for it. Who thinks about permits when they're eating BBQ? If anyone gives you a hard time, just give em' a plate. Why don't you sell some drinks too? Maybe even beer and liquor. Nothing better than some BBQ and Blackberry Brandy at 5am on Black Friday in the parking lot of the Best Buy in St. Louis. You can't make that stuff up.

The first thing that I would suggest would be to ask Best Buy if you can sell stuff in front of thier store... if they say yes then you can ask the city at the city hall. I don't think that it should be a big deal. Just make sure to keep everything as clean as possible.
