Its suppose to run cooler (the 65nm) because it can do the same amount but on a smaller chip size. Sense the Xbox 360 problem is it is over heating. The thought is these cooler chips well help. But we won't really know until people start maxing out the new machines.
(I doubt MS thought the first version of the xbox 360 would ever over heat)

The 65nm runs cooler, and costs less, but it seems, that it doesnt make much of a difference. The GPU is supposed to be the culprit to RRoD, and it it so switch to 65nm soon too.
