Clive Revill is listed in the credits as the voice of the Emperor, but I cannot find a credit for the actual actor we see on film. Who is that guy?

Same actor as the one who plays Senator Palpitain in Episodes one, two, & three.

Senator Palpitain becomes Emperor Palpitain. Get it?

Look it up.

It isn't an actor - an unknown actress played the part on-screen in the original movie.
For the 2004 DVD version, the scenes of the emperor were re-filmed with actor Ian McDiarmid playing the character and the voice (he played the emperor in all the other films).

Not 100% sure about this, but I think his name was Sebastian Shaw...OK, NOW you've really p!$$ed me off! This will bug me until I go home and check to be sure. Actually, I just checked and found out Sebastian Shaw was the guy who was the "face" of Darth Vader in "Return of the Jedi." Now I'm SUPER p!$$ed!
