Windows Vista isn't a computer, it's an operating system.
If you're new to computers, get a Mac.
If you're a gamer, get a PC with Windows. I recommend XP with service pack 2 over Vista.

Vista is a yawner. If you want Windows, get XP (quick! before MS withdraws it from the market by 6/08!)
I vote for MacOSx (the wave of the future I think). That way if you're "addicted to Windows" you can run a copy of Windows (sort of like a nicotine patch) on the same computer. (A Windows computer won't let you run a copy of MacOS

i personally like Macs. And definitely NOT windows vista!!
there's an ease of use with macs. but you will lose a lot of the software you may be accustomed to with a PC.
the media package that comes with a mac is great, like iphoto, idvd, imovie, etc. it's fun to work with.

Do you get the idea that you don't want to go anywhere close to Vista.
Go Mac ... you'll never go back!

Whatever you do don't waste your money on vista,Its absolutely rubbish.
