coincidental mmmm? Maybe but you gotta be clear on what you want (I have a fair idea what HE wants!!!).
If you broke up once there is a good chance that the reason you did is still there - can you cope with that? If he's been leading his own life - is there another woman now too - can you cope with that? Will he miss her and want to go back??
Generally, in my experience, once it's over it should remain that way. maybe later you can be friends but for now my advice - not that you asked for it I know that!!! - is tell him no and don't see him for a while.

But if you truly are happier without him, then just ignore him.
Yes, there were reason you fell in love with him in the first place but there are also reasons that you aren't together anymore.
And then remind yourself how exciting a brand new relationship is and go find yourself someone better!
