I am sure this is a very common question, but I am somewhat new to this site so I haven't really seen it on here.
My question to all of you is, if you loose your mucus plug, will you definately notice it? I know it doesn't always fall out in one big nasty blob (sorry, that sounds kinda nasty). Has anyone ever not noticed that they lost theirs? If so, or not, can you please let me know? I am familiar with mucus plugs and what they are there for..just had that question for who ever wants to answer.:) Thanks for your time!:) (I am 39 weeks pregnant and WAITING). :)

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I have 2 beautiful children, and I have never noticed a mucous plug that dislodged before delivery. Different strokes for different folks. I hope all goes well with you and the new baby.

I had 2 pregnancies and saw the plug w/ both & delivered in less than 24 hrs after seeing it. The first time it was just a little pinkness in the toilet after going the bathroom and the second time it was a tiny spotting on my panties. I think the key to seeing it is to be very attentive when going to the bathroom, my friend had 4 pregnancies and she saw the plug at least a couple of times that I know of...good luck!

Not long for you now!
Yes, you can lose your mucus plug up to 2 weeks before labour begins, though if it is blood stained labour should be imminent! I had my first contractions and then clearly lost my plug just a few hours later, though my baby didn't actually appear for 3 days - a long labour! But everybody and every pregnancy is different.
The very best of luck to you!!!

when i lost mine i saw it. and that was with all three of my pregnancies. and you can lose it up to two weeks before delivery. not necessarily hours before. and around 37 weeks i started looking for it after i would use the bathroom. i would look at the toilet paper after i would wipe not exactly an enjoyable thing to do but i wanted to know exactly what was going on that way i knew what to expect and wasn't surprised by anything. and all mine came out in pieces and they looked like a clear green slimy booger. its nasty but thats what it was. and it continued to come out for about the next three bathroom visits, cause face it at 39 weeks your in there all the time anyway. and it is possible that you have already lost it and didn't know. anyway good luck and congrats.

Not everyone notices their mucus plug. Sometimes you'll just have thick discharge that's looks kinda like snot. And it'll come out little by little as you dialate more. And just because your mucus plug comes out, it doesn't mean you are going to go into labor. I hate hte waiting game, but don't worry too much about it.

it ought to be some drainage of the plug yet often they're extra white in coloration w/ a tinge of yellow & additionally streaked w/ a splash blood. Mine got here without notice- it ought to easily be the hormones besides... in case you start to get relatively crampy its going to ensue, quickly.solid success :)

First pregnancys last forever! Your baby will come when its ready! As fas as the plugs, even if you lost it , it doesnt mean your going to go into labor!
