Can a linksys wireless usb adapter work with a netgear wireless router? I have a RangeMAX Next Wireless router and also came upon a Lynksys Wireless-B USB network adapter and I was wondering if the two would work together. I have hooked them up and I know the router is working fine and my computer says the adapter is also working properly, but I have not figured out how to configure the adapter settings to put in the Network name and passphrase to connect and so far it isn't working. Any ideas? I was thinking to open the connection just to see if it will connect, but thought I would ask before i waste too much time.

Linksys adapter will work.
Goto Network Connections of your computer, select the Linksys Wireless Adapter, goto its Properties, and then to TCP/IP settings.
Set ip of your computer within the range of IP of your router.
It will work.

Yes, any wifi equipment, as long as they adhere to the 802.11G standard, the equipment should interoperate.
