Not all home based businesses are scams. I was a building contractor for 20 years and worked out of my home. That was not a scam.

I now do affiliate marketing online. I've been doing it for a year and I'm getting ready to stop doing construction altogether, as I am now making over $10k per month. It takes dedicated work, at minimum a small amount of initial working capital, decent organizational skills, and persistence, but you can make a living at it if you stick with it.

If someone wants to sell you information, that should be a large red flag. I buy information all the time regarding online affiliate marketing. It never delivers as much as the hype promises. But now and then I learn a few new things. It helps me learn.

It takes a lot of work to succeed online. Don't go into it thinking you are goin to get rich in a month or two. It doesn't work that way and you'll end up very disappointed.

Good luck to you.

I don't think all home based businesses are scams but you really do need to do your research. One great place to check is the Direct Selling Association. I have found an amazing company called AdvoCare. It is nutrional supplements and has an awesome pay plan where you get paid 5 ways. No pyramid scheme!!! Check this website for more info www.advocare.com/07041622/. These products are endorsored for free by top athletes. My friend makes over $40,000 a month and I am on my way to achieve the same. I feel working from home is the way to go these days because it gives you freedom on your terms.

Those are only SOME of the home based businesses. Most home based are cottage industries that individuals start up on their own, not take from someone else.

In house VCR cleanings is a home based business. Making things (baby clothes, greeting cards, Xmas decorations, etc.) and selling them on your own is a common way to do a home business. Some people bake cakes and cookies and sell them. I know one lady who does illustration drawings for magazines.
