I have to wonder whether the people who complain about this sort of thing have lost their remotes and can't figure out how to change the channel without it. It's also pretty insulting to people at large to suggest they can't figure out this is entertainment and not an instruction guide on how to live their life. The entertainment industry affects the behavior of people? That's a pretty broad statement that you offer nothing up to support other than your opinion. My boys watched so many shows that had bad guys being glorified, or good guys who operated above the law as they pleased, or the CSI shows, or Criminal Minds to see the latest type of serial killer they would come up with. Somehow they still managed to get great grades, play hockey, football and baseball for their schools, and go to college where they have also brought home great grades. In fact, my oldest just graduated last year with an Administration of Justice degree and is about to become a county sheriff with an eye toward working for the FBI someday. I guess we taught them the difference between fantasy and reality. Anyone with half a brain knows these characters are on paper and aren't the norm or the desired norm. This type of hysteria is ridiculous.

Every time I see Foster's I think that. Cartoons from when I was a kid had jokes that kids wouldn't really get, and now cartoons are rather stupid. This is why I like anime A LOT more.

I sometimes glance up and see commercials as my wife is watching prime-time television, and there's no doubt in my mind that there is rampant drug use in the advertising industry.

I was so thrilled to have left Teletubbies behind, and then she found LazyTown. Have you seen LazyTown? It's almost as bad...
