I think people can learn from their mistakes. Most people have done something at sometime in their lives that they regret doing and would never do again.

I don't believe in that statement "once a cheater, always a cheater." I've been a cheater, been cheated on, and also been the other woman. However, if i am with one i truly love, have a strong desire to be with, there is NO way i'd ever cheat on him. I know people cheat for a variety of reasons, and i know some people will always cheat. Depends on the person, and the circumstance. I consider myself very loyal and dedicated.... You just have to find the right person to be with, and you won't want to cheat. So yes, people can learn from their mistakes for the better.

No, not always a cheater. People do learn from their mistakes if they're willing to take the time to find out why they cheated in the 1st place. The reason should not be about the one cheated on either. The cheater should take responsibility for their actions and find out why...otherwise, the cycle will continue.

Maybe, but if you were the one cheated on, why would you bother???? Only 20% of relationships involving betrayal survive 2 years... even when both want it to survive, and both are in counseling.... nope, that's an F in school, and an F in life, and sweets, life is tooooo short to waste it on a cheater, when there are just sooooo many nice people out there who all they want to be in is a loving, supportive relationship.

Each and every day we as responsible adults should make good choices and not hurt the ones we love. Its been my experience and with talking to others both male and female who have been cheated on... usually the cheater doesn't stop... but i think its possible for it to happen. Depends on the person... usually those who cheat are very selfish and only think about themselves... they certainly aren't thinking about no one else when they are committing the act of cheating.

I think a person can change for the better. If they really wanted to. But is it worth it to stay with a cheater? I don't think so. I think you can forgive them for cheating, but never forget, and that will nag at you for as long as you stay with that person, and eventually ruin it in the end anyways.

i believe people can learn by pain, and heartache and yes people do change but its usually a result of finding god, or some kind of character change. but it usually only happens if the cheater gets a taste of his own medicine, than and only than does he or she see what they did to the other person.

I think it depends why the person cheated. If just for a bit of fun, they yes, he or she will no doubt cheat again.
If it was for another reason, wanted to experience something different for example, then I think it is possible they won't.
I do agree once a person has cheated, I think it is easier to do it again. Kind of like a drug user - the first mental hurdle is the hardest.

The only way a cheater can stop, is to not have any opportunities present themselves.

It totally depends on the relationship! Prime example I cheated in my relationship for years!!!!!!!!! I recently got married to the person I cheated on! I never got caught by the grace of God for six years but a part of me always knew that he knew! But after I married him, I totally stopped and commited myself! I felt sometimes like I want to only because I am lonely but this marriage works for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So the answer to your question is yes they can often time change for the better......
