ok before i start this is not a preaching question its my opinion about a select group of ppl not everyone .

do you feel its wrong for girls that use abortion as a form of birth control, instead of taking the responsiblity and buying condoms or taking birth control as perscribed( meaning every day at the same time and not take anything that will make the pill no work such as antibiotics)?

do you think if they made it so that only girls that have been raped or if the baby will kill the mother if carried full term less ppl would disagree with abortion?

(the rape victim would need a hospital and police report)

i find this funny (not the topic) that i asked question and started an arguement . and that only one person was smart enought to mention plan b pill and that most of you go on about womans rights. im not religious and im neither prolife nor pro choice. i know to many woman that have used it as the easy way out and then either killed themselfs after or hated themselfs after. what says you arent killing the person that will cure aids or cancer

First off, I am Pro-choice. But, I do not think people should use abortions as a form of birth control. If you are having sex, wear a condom or take the pill (if you can, some people can't take the pill). As for not taking antibiotics, if you have to , you have to. People should take other precautions when on the pill & antibiotics. I think abortions should stay just the way they are. I have an idea, lets teach about safe sex and not just abstinence. This way once people start having sex, they will take precautions & this will end in fewer abortions. Although sometimes there are the "oops". On birth control, following it correctly & ended up pregnant anyway. It's rare, but does happen.

Yes I do think its wrong that girls would use abortion as a form of birth control.....but I highly doubt any one person is go about saying, oh well, if I get knocked up, i'll just pay 1000 bucks and take care of it. I can see possibly saying that with that abortion morning after pill etc... but not with a surgical procedure. I just feel we all have a learning scale, and the smartest people might mess up one time, but they usually wouldn't make the same risky choice again. While other people are just not quite as "smart" - and continuously make poor judgemental errors. Thats just the cycle of life.

If they make abortions illegal, again,- or only for the raped etc.. it will only lead to unsafe backdoor abortions. Yes less people would have abortions, but more people would be dying from it. More people would be having babies they don't want, leading to excess in child abuse, which in turn may create a more violent world. Not to mention the population growth. So, I think I must say that I believe in abortions for the sanity of the nation. Its not for everyone, but i'm sure glad there aren't more 13-14 year olds running around being called mommy.

TO BROOKE S. ABOVE ME- THE SUBJECT LINE WAS ? ON ABORTION.... if you are not interested in re ading it, than just don't open that one. She gave you fair warning.

I believe that the best way to stop abortions from occuring is for the woman to not get pregnant in the first place. The other thing that I would like to point out is that rape victims have access to the morning after pill which doesn't allow a fertilized egg to implant. It prevents a possible pregnancy from happening which keeps the victim from having to agonize over an abortion.

Women who use abortion as a form of birth control end up reaping what they sow. Repeated abortions can render a woman infertile and may cause other long term problems. Abortions can also cause death by bleeding as well as infections. It is a surgical procedure and there can be severe complications.

It is wrong for any woman to use abortion as a form of birth control, there are so many other forms of birth control available. Using abortion can do damage to the woman emotionally, mentally and physically.

i believe that abortion is based on a case to case basis. Woman who have been raped have that right to abort the pregnancy or keep the term and there are alternatives such as adoption. there are so many options other than abortion and woman need to keep an open mind. For woman who's life could be at risk due to a pregnancy of course she has her choice and needs to know the precautions with the pregnancy.

Ok first of all a rape victim should report it and go to an emergency room immediatly and there they will give her Plan B which will prevent pregnancy from happening.....and yes if you had to have a medical reason to get one and not just because you messed up and got pregnant and dont want the baby then I feel more people would be ok with it....

I do think it is wrong for women to use abortions for birth control. I do not think that the government should decide for women either. It should not be abused. I think its laziness and irresponsible or women to just get abortions instead of wrapping it up or popping a pill or using some other form of birth control since there are so many options out there.

While I dont think its a good form of birth control, I would hesitate to put a lot of restrictions on a woman's right to choose. This is a personal choice and it's not up to me to make regulations for them to conform to. I would hope that a person who gets multple abortions would be seeking a more reliable form of birth control like an IUD and I would assume that the doctors at the clinic would have suggested it.

I feel that it is very wrong for girls to get abortions as a form of birth control.

I also feel that any abortions are wrong unless it is life threatening.

I feel that it is not the baby's fault that there mother had been raped. If it hurts too much to be able to raise thier child after the fact, there is something called adoption. There are many people that cant have baby's and would love to raise that baby.

This is just my opinion. I'm sorry if this offends anyone i am just VERY pro life.

I think that there would be less people who disagree. But it is hard because then there might be a lot of people falsly claiming that they were raped. I personally feel that it is wrong to use abortion as a form of birth control, if you have made the choice to have unprotected sex, then you have made the choice to create a life in your womb. The choice comes before pregnancy.

I understand that you are not "preaching" but I would like to preach for a moment....
I am 38 weeks 1 day pregnant with baby #1 and I am so tired of this question or questions remotely like this.
I am happy about this baby. I truly feel that politics is a better section to post questions such as these. People here are either worried about pregnancy, excited about their pregnancy, soon to be parents, etc...
If you are trying to post a poll and/or survey of people who feel the same as you (or differently), you could possibly try the "polls and surveys" section?
I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I'm over it!
Good luck finding the answer that best supports your opinion.
