That's all a bunch of rubbish. I'm Asian and I'm as dumb as a stump. I think white people are the smartest, afterall they created the 1962 Corvette Convertible and that little thing that dispenses ice on the front of the refridgerator. That's just brilliant.

I think that Watson may believe he's old enough (born 1928) at this point that he may as well say what he wants to, whether he actually believes it or not.
Why should he think ahead as to what people of dubious "intelligence" and / or integrity may attempt to do with his research or comments, which may or may not be used selectively in the interest of promoting particular agendas? He won't have to deal for long with any consequences during this life, and, if he's truly an atheist, then....
Actually, it's good for his statements to be widely publicized and discussed, because then all can see where he may be coming from and decide if and how much any personal issues may have influenced his research interests and results.
Also, it's good for people to know which institutions and organizations he worked / works with, and concerning what.
Just because certain organizations and institutions have now, in the name of public relations, distanced themselves from him doesn't mean they don't like what he has to say.
So, perhaps his reckless statements are an intelligent, calculated measure he is taking, perhaps subconsciously, to shed some light on some things the public should be aware of.
After all, he can afford to blow a whistle at this point!

Mr. Watson is an idiot. It's funny that he is the PIONEER of research proving that no one race is smarter than the other, and yet he still says stupid things like that.
Your question is wrong anyway. The research does NOT prove that Jews and Asians are more intelligent and that Africans are the least intelligent. That was Watson's ignorant opinion.

Look, just because the guy won a Nobel prize doesn't mean he knows anything about people, emotions, and intelligence.
Here's the deal:
Intelligent people of any race are more intelligent than stupid people of any race. Got that? That's all you need to know. Work hard in school and be one of the intelligent people.

Given that many great minds have come from various backgrounds and that apparently his research doesn't take into account any social-economic background data, I would be extremely hesitant to put any weight behind this.
