It is called a bite, but physically it is more like being stung.

they sting.... 100% sure certified, just type mosquito in google images and you'll see that a mosquito has something like a needle, not a mouth or anything like that.... to bite it needs teeth with it doesn't have AND you can find this text on wiki for mosquitos "(Note: mosquitos do not actually bite).", it's lower on the page at food habbits

The female uses a long sharp 'tooth' to poke you and suck out your blood.

its got a straw like mouth with which it pokes actually it cant bite.

its refereed to biting..but in actuality...they use their needle like beak to penetrate your skin and place a fluid in your body that allows your blood to rise up to them and they begin to pump it out in very very small like quantities. That's why you receive a little bump and develop an itch or small rash.

they bite....but i hate those who bite me with their thumbs down. whats wrong with the peps if answer is quit good.
