I know you don't want to hear this, but my advice is that you shouldn't even try because that is against the acceptable use policy at your school. They have sites blocked for safety and security reasons. They own the computers and the internet connection so they get to say how they're used.
Trying to bypass their security is considered hacking and will get you banned from using any of their computers and probably even suspended or expelled.
They can see and track everything you do so you WILL get caught. Not being able to use the computers at all would suck way worse than just using them to view allowed sites - wouldn't it?

Just think if you were actually learning in school instead of trying to beat the blocks you just might learn something. Like for instance how to beat blocks. Or better yet if your IT department is good you won't be able to anyway.

Trying to bypass the blocks is a breach of usage terms, and can get you banned from the PCs.
You are there to LEARN NOT WASTE TIME, (and taxpayers money)
Also the IT guys are smarter than you, they'll soon block methods if you find em

Too many boyscouts here! Try portable firefox http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable. I actually used this to by pass my employer's web filter- to check my email and CNN - however you still can be watched. But if you want to go stealth go with torpak w firefox. This is hard to find- alot sites don't host it anymore. You will have to use a bittorent to find one. Good luck.
