another user levied this accusation. I've could not think of a single rap song where a rapper reffered to white people as crackers. So I thought I would do a rudimentary search.

Interestingly the only rapper in these results to use the word was Eminem.

Anybody have other examples of rappers calling white people cracker?

These are all I can think of at the moment.

I don't give a crap what people say, whether it's "n", "c", or anything else. If people want to give words power over them and allow others to control their emotions, fine, go ahead and waste your energy. I'm too concerned with REAL issues to be bothered with someone else's vocabulary.

Public Enemy said something in fight the power but i can't remember if they said cracker or not and stuff like this don't offend me cause i know im no cracker. and if someone calls me a cracker im not going to get 25 to life for ignorance! Good question though! But rappers today i don't hear them being racist and they know a lot of white people buys there cds! Im actually working on my relationship with God right now and i don't to much listen to no music unless its for praising God!!

For the many years I've heard it, I'm still naive as to the significance of "cracker" in a racial setting. So, I'm not offended regardless of who uses it or how used. On the other hand, there are terms which most definitely are blatantly racial in nature, and I too am very offended by these when within earshot.

I think mostly "militant rappers" like Dead Prez use it. But that is far & few in between. Now Niqqa is said ALL the time even by Dead Prez & anyone rapper that has used cracker. So they were highly offended by that? It seems many argue for their right to use niqqa since rappers use it, why not say cracker too since they're taking vernacular lessons from them-lol?

I think Snoop supposedly used it on his last album.

To quote Dead Prez: "grab a shank, pull it out, kill a cracker!"

The answer is yes.

why is this such a big deal??
i'm not in the least offended by that-
i don't see why this is supposed to be derrogatory-
they need to think of something new to call us, or just go home!

Good question! Another issue I have with people comparing the n-bomb to "cracker" is the history associated with the two. White people act like they should be able to say the n-word if black people can say cracker, but they will never have the same connotation. The n-word has so much hate and oppression and even death tied to it. It's not even close to the same thing.
