Why is it that STRAIGHT girls have no problem giving each other a hug and maybe even a kiss on the cheek but guys are the exact opposite? Are you males that insecure of your sexuality? I mean, seriously, you know if you're gay or not, so what's the harm in a hug? It shows a strong friendship and can brighten someones day.

according to my boyfriend, another guy thinking you are gay is a really big deal. I guess it's a threat to their masculinity.
funny story about my dad. my mom had bought him a pair of jeans for his birthday. the stitching on the pocket was not to his liking - it was just a stripe. well, my dad referred to it as a 'Gay Stripe' (I don't know how he made that connection) and would not wear them. He took the jeans back to the store.

No big deal. Hugging girls is just more fun. They're all soft and bumpy, which feels better. So, if we're going to expend the effort, we just want to get the most out of it.

in some cultures guys do hug and kiss on cheek. italians, greeks, asians, spanish,
but america is not big on hugging and kissing on cheek tho.
nothing gay about it tho. unless "your making out"

Far as that goes, when it comes to chicks who arent family members, if they aint hot, they aint getting a hug either.

girls express there felling diferently and boys r just in2 taling.. it wud be so weird a lad gon up hugging r kissing another lad oohh..if my boyfrend did that i wud rely dump him straight away and no questions askd.
