No. Otherwise, wouldn't we know to use urination for birth control? Your pee cannot "flush out" sperm.
Your doctor said to pee after sex because bacteria can be pushed into a woman's urethra during the sex act. If you use the potty after sex, then your urine stream helps to "flush out" bacteria.
The fact that bacteria can be pushed into your urethra is no one's fault. You simply have a lot going on "down there" and the fluids from the different body parts (yours and his) can end up in the "wrong" places.
I've also found that cleaning up with a warm rag after sex helps nip my UTI infections in the bud.

Some of it can come out. Have you people never heard of gravity? I had constant UTIs until I started religiously peeing immediately after sex.
Try waiting a couple of minutes after sex before you pee, just to give the sperm a bit of a head start! Worked for me! Two kids and no UTIs.

I can get UTI easily after sex especially if I have a lower immune system at the time. Try to lay with your bottom on a pillow for at least 10 minutes after sex and then get up and pee and then lay back down for another 10 minutes. Thats what my doctor recommended and so far no UTI's and sperm is definately getting a chance to swim. Best wishes ttc!!!!!!!

If you have reasons for delaying and allowing the sperm to travel then peeing after the short wait is pretty effective. Your risk for UTI is only slightly higher as long as you do pee Before cleaning. For me it was worth the risk of UTI though I never did get one.

No. The sperm that will "work" is already trapped inside your cervix and uterus and will not come out while urinating. The sperm that is in your vagina will most likely come out or die before reaching the egg, so it's ok if some comes out.
Urine comes out your utrethra (which shouldn't have any sperm in it, and even if it did, it wouldn't be the sperm that gets you pregnant) and sperm goes inside your vagina. They won't intermingle. Urinating after sex will only encourage a healthy urinary tract. It won't disrupt your conception attempts.
Also, doctors laugh at elevating your hips for some time after sex. The sperm won't come out and gravity doesn't help.

Sperm doesn't go to the same place in a woman as the urine comes from. Going pee helps to clear the urinary tract to prevent the UTI, but it is no where near the uterus or cervix, which is where the sperm goes.

Sperm will come out, but when he ejaculates there are more than enough swimmers in the right place, so don't worry!
I get UTIs at the drop off a hat, so believe me, you should go to the bathroom after wards.
Happy trying and good luck!

Well, unless you are peeing from your uterus, no. The point of peeing after sex is to flush bacteria from your urethra (urinary tract) and hopefully prevent another UTI. The sperm will go where they are supposed to go and are not effected by your peeing.
