This is the time of year when a lot of trees naturally slough their leaves. If you are really worried, it would be a good idea to take a couple of the leaves to your local nursery and just ask them to identify the tree for you.

They will also probably give you some tips on how to care for it.

What do you mean, "Half a tank"? What does this mean in bushels, or bags, or whatever?

Regardless, it's that time of year. Unless the tree has obviously injured or diseased branches, I wouldn't worry about it.

Get a nice strong backpack blower and spend Saturdays in the Yard. I have been doing that all day today. If you can get a leaf mulcher, you push them through that and then compost them.
