No point. Since having a point is a condition of living human consciousness. Animals do not need a point to live or exist. It is more of an affliction of consciousness that there are such things as points, a negative side to evolutionary development for lack of better words.

Dont dwell about the existence of god because honestly NOONE knows about it no matter how much some people tend to claim to... Life is about the here and now so dont look forward to an after-life because u never know if there is one. Do everything you've ever wanted. If you have a Goal I suggest you follow it however try not to make it an impossible one. Be a good person, find someone who you Love and loves you for who you are, have children, settle down, get a good job, excpect the worst, understand that some people are Lucky and some people arent as lucky as others. Learn as much as you can about our world and its contents. spread your knowledge and wisdom to your children.

In my opinion there is no point in life because when our sun dies out and the planet Earth is no more what monumental achievement will we have honestly accomplished in the grand scheme of things. Nothing will remember us so everything that the human race will have achieved so far will all be for nothing; its like running a race that goes on for thousands of years and coming first, for nothing.

This is the answer that I have already delivered for another similar type of question, that I also find pertinent for the response to your question. So here it is:

We often see how roads are paved upon surfaces that are not always even and soft enough to work on. Then there are not always solid stretches of land, for there often are ravines, rifts, gullies, gorges, rivers and canyons along the way, in which case, we defy the reason of solid grounds under our feet ... we build bridges, bridges that would last far as long as the rest of the stretch of the path on solid ground.

Then we often come across mountains that sometimes we go round, sometimes we go over, while some other times we tunnel through them to see the light of the day on the side. In general it is a harmonious and most economical compromise between a landscape and human purpose that in the end gives us a useful road or a pathway across an otherwise difficult and impossible terrain.

Life is more like a road that we build as we travel for it, for there is no other way to have it done for you. Life to me is after a certain age starts to look like a trek across a mountain range. You rise to the peak, endure all the hardships of unpredictable ascent to the top with all the enthusiasm and vigour of an explorer and then you start on descent that is also as hard as the climb was plus the sense that the peak of the excitement is over. But we remember the entire experience by our few moments at the top, and these few moments are not always bound to our physical age; such moments can come any time. It is more like a soccer match where only final score counts, however, the peak moments, when the wining goals were posted could come any time in the entire duration of a game.

Some people like to see life in form of a spiral that could take us upwards and also downwards in a gradual systematic way. But in my view, in order to see like in form of a spiral, one need to see with an eye closer to the eyes of God, as there, seemingly or at least to the eyes of an inept observer, is no definable pattern so far visible in the grand scheme of things; we just have to maintain our faith that there is one and that our effort are taking us upward with every turn.

Just to get through it and see what happens really. To be in the moment, in the here and now... to FEEL alive, to let what is happening NOW penetrate and add to the bank of "experience" everyone builds up throughout life.... Don't think there is any "point" as such, other than to LIVE life and "BE". Life doesn't have a point it just IS.

I often ask myself this question - get up, go to work, come home, go to bed and then start the whole tedious business again the next day.

I guess the main point of my life has been having two great kids and now 3 wonderful granddaughters. They have been my biggest achievement. I also do good work in the voluntary sector and people depend on me to look after them.

The point of life is to live, for all life there is always an end, it's what you make of it. Live a legacy you want to perceive

The point of life from a biological perspective is to pass on genetic code. But this may be an insufficient reason for a human to live. Many people live lives without children, or with adopted children. I would not say those people are living pointless lives at all!

"Happiness" is an elusive concept. And besides, it is all brain chemicals... If you had a drug that made you euphoric (or any other desired emotion) 24/7 with no ill side effects would you say this hypothetical you is living the point to life?

And if the point of life is to please God, what about the billions of people who don't believe the same thing as you? Is there no point to their lives?

I will put my cards on the table and say that the point to life (For me) is to learn. Learn to think critically. Learn to accept that other points of view exist. Learn to discover what is valuable to you. Learn to express yourself. Learn learn learn. Whatever fascinates you. Learn what scares you and why. Learn to listen. Learn to work together. Learn how to learn. Learn things that nobody ever knew before!

That's my point of view. :) Thank you for reading.

They say, 'It is better to have tried and failed than never to have tried at all.' How do they know this? Have they conducted scientific tests and replicated results independently, or is this just rhetoric designed to encourage us all to be heroic? What's so wrong with giving up and backing down? Aren't we all just better off learning to accept whatever we don't like and to conform with whatever we wish we could change? I'm only teasing. In your heart you know that you must fight your corner now. You are right.

It is preferable to the alternative! Yes it is that simple, ask someone who is dying what they would rather have. I could have spent ages philosophising on how great life really is, but this is the bottom line at the end of the day.

The point of life is to show God if we will pick good, or evil. That is how he decides if we will go to heaven or hell.
