I live too far from my church to get there without driving. I understand what you are saying, and I too am bothered by people not using it as a day of rest and worship, but I think both Jews who worship on Sabbath and view Sunday as a workday and Christians who worship on Sunday would have a big problem with a plan like that.

No way! For alot of people Sunday is the only day they have off from work to get those kind of things done! If you haven't noticed, the mail doesn't get delivered on Sundays, that's because the mailmen need a day to get things done at home. Things like mowing the lawn or clearing leaves from their yard.

Yes, but it won't happen. Just drive to the most secluded spot you can find. Then, good luck! I was hunting for deer once on a giganic ranch. It was very nice, but I could still hear highway traffic, planes and train whistles in the distance. Maybe we dreamers should just invest in the earplug industry.

It wouldn't be a bad idea theoretically, but many people work on Sundays. And for those who don't, Sunday is the only day that they may be able to do yard work.

You may get more backing for a Monday. Sunday would never fly as it is a day of worship. You already know this. Freedom of religion is a right.

That sounds like a good idea, but sometimes I have to work on Sundays and I have to drive. I need the money.

No , that's the only time most have to get caught up with the stuff they can't get done during the work week , now if you wanted to have it on a Monday , I've no objection to that :))
