the size of the Federal government (budget, employee numbers, number of departments), Federal spending, federal regulations to control health care, business (large and small), public and private education, taxes on the upper 50% of wage earners, the amount of illegals coming across our southern borders, fuel prices thru higher Federal gas taxes, number of people who qualify for Federal Tax Free living...

all to record levels.

Is there anyone who can point out anything that Hillary has said or done that would make me believe otherwise on any point.

Hey DON C, you seem upset by Bush's spending, but you didn't answer the question. I take it you agree that she will increase everything further?

Well... Yeah... How is someone going to disagree? The people who like Hillary like her because she does want that.

I won't disagree at all. You are entirely correct. She would take away initiatives and we would be lucky if by time she was through if we only paid 40% on taxes!
She would cause so much beauracracy that it would take generations to clean up her mess. All of her ideas are of a socialistic nature. I am sure we would have even more illegals here as security, intelligence and the military are definitely areas where she is the weakest.
The government would be redistributing wealth and distributing what she thinks we need.
It is a horror story in the making.

You think she's only going to increase taxes on the top 50% of wage earners? Man, you must be the eternal optomist. Everybody above the poverty line is by definition "not poor", and Hillary can ask them to do their share. One of the reasons she will need to is that the rich will establish themselves elsewhere and just visit and travel in the US. Their tax dollars will no longer be available.

Hillary will be the first to say that she will give all illegals (even the drug dealers, gang members, and criminals) amnesty. Then we can't ever kick them out for anything. She will also raise taxes....much higher than you are thinking. Right now you are thinking she is talking about the "rich." Well, "rich" to Hillary and the rest of the Socialist Democrats is anyone with a job and paycheck. They want to take away money from you to give to your lazy, unemployed, video game, and smoking neighbor that does like to work. It's not fair that you should have money and he doesn't. So the Socialist says you have to give half of your money to him. You don't need it all anyway. Think about it.

Well, given her proposals, it could increase the size of the federal government to some degree. However, you know a lot of politicians make proposals during political campaigns that just never happen. You also have to keep in mind that she, if elected, will inherit a defecit and a war that is contributing to that defecit and which she acknowledges can't be ended immediately. I am reading this book about Bill Clinton's first term, and he similarly made many proposals during the campaign, but he also inherited a significant defecit and eventually he decided with his economic team and Alan Greenspan that many of these proposals and programs just couldn't be implemented along with defecit reduction at the same time so many of them were scrapped. I suspect that that will be the case with many of the spending proposals of the next President, whoever that ends up being.

I do not disagree, except that she will increase taxes on EVERYBODY, even though she says she will only "roll back" tax cuts for the rich.

This has never worked because tax increases eat future profits to tax anyway. So a tax increase on EVERYBODY follows after the first of a Democrat presidency.

Hillary won't tax the crap out of us all at once, but she's going to nickel and dime us to death, very slowly, so that few will notice before it's too late. Then, once she has wormed her entitlement programs into place so that they're firmly entrenched, and everyone is firmly used to them, she'll spring it on us. 100% income surrender to the government so it can be redistributed evenly among those who don't work for it.

Anyone that thinks she will reduce the size scope or cost of the federal government is overlooking the fact that no president has done so since before FDR.

I do and we haven't even got to the loads of new federal regulations, judicial candidates from the far left, and more federal control of our daily lives.
