Be careful. These things are protected by law. Unless they are a problem in the home or other buildings you are not supposed to bother them. They actually clean up highly flamable needles that drop from evergreen family of trees. They make the needles part of their nest and make them flame retardant. They wont bother you if you dont bother them.

I had Fire Ants bad until a couple of years ago. The little Black Highway Ants showed up and wiped them all out. These little guys are called Angentine Ants (probably cause they came from Argentina) and they are Fire Ants natural enemy. I haven't seen a Fire Ant in years now.
If you don't know where to get them, you can have some of mine, I have more than enough.

Sprinkle Grits on the mounds. They move around so it seems like a never ending job. At least Grits are cheap and do work.
